Great reception when it is placed in an unobstructed location. Had it in the attic where the reception was fair, better than TV top antenna. When the roof was replaced & a radiant barrier was put in under the shingles the reception deteriorated. Mounted outside under the eaves and the reception improved dramatically. The FM reception also improved even though this product is not advertised for the radio. Bought a second one for another family member because of my positive experience with this product.

I have mounted this antenna on top of my car and use it along with a vcr, digital converter box and a dvd player to get good tv reception in my car. My son has the talent to get this all hooked up together and make it work. love the profile of the antenna because it is long and narrow and I can use hook and loop and straps to connect it the the ski rack on the car. great product.
TV55 is much better than my Phillips HDTV antenna May 13, 2010

I used a Phillip indoor/out door antenna. But I could only receive channels 2, 4, 5, 7, and other smaller channels.
I wanted to be able to receive channels 9, 11, and 13. And TV55 receives them all. TV55 receives an additoonal 10 channels more than my Phillips antenna from Walmart.
I live in Los Angeles high up the hills. I place my TV55 indoor in the north-south direction when I should be placing it in the east-west direction for best reception. Nevertheless, it works well and it does everything that I need.
This is a good product and I am happy with it. I will recommend it to anybody who is only receiving some channels. Thank you Amazon.com!

I bought a couple of cheap rabbit ears type antennas for TVs in each of the guest rooms and bought the TV-55 as an over the air antenna for a new LCD in the master bedroom. After trying all combination of TVs and antennas, this is by far the worst performer. I am in Fairfax County outside of Washington DC and only 15 or so miles from the broadcast towers, but this antenna has trouble picking up more than 1 of the 3 network broadcasts in the area. Save your money and look for something else.

We live about 17 mile from the TV towers. When we decided to drop cable I stuck a coat hanger in the end of the cable and was able to get pretty good reception with a digital convert box hooked to my old TV. I figured a real antenna would give me better reception and possibly more channles. This antenna doesn't work any better than the coat hanger. I should have saved my money and stuck with the coat hanger.
