| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description 100 mile range outdoor HDTV Antenna with Max-Amp technology. This antenna comes with a built in high gain amplifier. The reflector wings and reflector dish also helps amplify the signal. This will find and hold signals like never before. This is our most powerful antenna. The cost of cable and satellite TV has forced many Americans to turn to free over the air digital HDTV programming. The major broadcast networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS and others are broadcasting in high definition nowadays. This means most Americans can enjoy free HDTV programming if they have the right antenna.

| Customer Reviews: Terrible, cheaply made product September 7, 2010 Robert Ilderton I was trying to get a channel in my area that has a very week signal. I purchased this product, assembled it (which was more complicated than expected and the instructions were sparse), and put it up on my roof (about 30 feet up). I could only pull in two channels where I was getting 12 before. I tried rotating, but the motor would not work. I put my old antenna back up and adjusted it to where I can get what I need now. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone ever for any reason.
Not much more powerfull than my rabit ears. Not very sturdy. September 7, 2010 Gustavo Orellana Beware, this is not the latest model of this antenna, I should have purchased from another vendor that is recommended by Amazon. When I viewed the other item it looked to be the same, however, the newer model claims 150 mile reach, this one is 100 miles. Or is it kilometers?
The reception improved a little bit, from 82 to 89 in the signal strength for the stations that I could already get with my rabit ears, there were three channels added to my list of 8 that I can get here, however, these three new channels are coming in within the red band of the signal strength, so all I get is the text portion of the broadcast, read programming information, no picture and no sound. I checked the location of that transmitter and it is 80 miles from me.
The construction is flimsy, and the instructions to assemble it are slightly better than nothing, many steps are not pictured at all. The last step reads "Choose a bamboo suitable for installation", that makes me wonder, why would anybody want to mount an external antenna on a bamboo? When you extend the wings you need to lock them with two slide tabs, no mention of this in the instructions, which are mostly pictures with a four to six word description of the step. When the wings are extended to the propper installation position make sure that you are waring safety glasses, the plastic in the casing will break and eject those pieces toward you. It is still usable after that happens, but made me wonder again as to the quality of the product.
There is no way to tell where the antenna is pointed to, except if you take a lot of trips outside to see where it is poining. The remote control has two buttons to activate the motor, and even though there is a left and a right button it does not mean that the antenna is rotating in that direction. It appears that when the antenna reaches the end of the rotation in one direction the motor is reversed, so good luck trying to determine which way you are rotating the antenna.
VERY POOR QUALITY / NO QUALITY CONROL August 28, 2010 DisMayed!!! 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this in good faith that it was a good product, but as usual most items bought these days are junk!!! Missing parts, poor quality plastic. Tried to fasten the motor on,( of which there was only 3 out of 4 holes drilled!!! ), but the nuts that are internal fell into the inside so I had to stop assembly and had to take the main body apart (which was put together from where -ever) and retreive the nuts and finish attaching the motor and then put the main body back together. One of the antenna bars were missing altogether. I'm not sure what the other model ( ax-903 ) was like but this AX-909 is simply put GARBAGE!!! Stay Far Far Away!!! Very Poor Quality Control!!! I Just Can't Stress This Enough!!! ANTENNA PROS ??? I'm Not Sure What They Think PROS Stands For, But It Sure Is Not PROFESSIONALS!!! That's For Sure!!!
